Planned to see Kalamazoo major attractions and it was lovely base for visiting all of them. The room was very clean and had all the facilities. Besides, it offers free Wi Fi.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was free. Close to the highway. Not scenic, but convenient. The "fitness room" is the athletic club across the street--which I used one morning and really enjoyed.
Our experience at Baymont was weird. They were doing some renovation on our floor and the employees were noisy. They were shouting at each other as if no guests were in their rooms in the late afternoon, but we were trying to rest. There was not always someone at the front desk. They disappeared into a back office and you had to shout to get their attention. Also, there were always people loitering in the parking lot in the evening. They mostly seemed to be guests, but their behavior seemed to be drug/alcohol related. No one bothered us, but it was vaguely unsettling.

The staff were helpful. the location was just right. Our location was quiet--4th floor.
Furniture, carpeting and lighting could stand an upgrade. We think if this occurs price/value relationship will be back in order!
